  • Art Music & Jazz:

    • I have done a great deal of onsite art music concert recordings for Grammy Award winning engineer/producer David Lau at The Brookwood Studio. Clients I’ve recorded for him include The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, the Flint Symphony Orchestra, Eastern Michigan University Orchestras, University of Michigan Orchestras, University of Michigan Men’s Glee Club and Universtity of Michigan Friars.

    In February of 2007, David and I (along with NPR’s Duke Markos) recorded the Terence Blanchard Quintet at the Power Center in Ann Arbor Michigan for NPR’s nationally syndicated show called Jazz Set. This show was broadcast on May 17, 2007 and you can listen to it in its entirety at this link. The show is split into two segments: first is the University of Michigan Jazz Ensemble, second is Terence Blanchard’s set. As with all NPR streaming content, you will need Real Player, which is free. And much better than it used to be.

  • Sponge!

    • In September of 2006, I ran the ProTools rig and assisted Andy Patalan of the Number Six Recording Syndicate with pre-show set-up for a live recording of Sponge. You may recall they had a huge radio hit in the 90s called Plowed? This particular show at The Ritz was kind of a “Sponge Greatest Hits” intended for national release in 2007. Andy is also the mastermind behind Throttlebody the band and is one of the two guitarists in Sponge.
